Momo are bite size dumplings made with a spoonful  of stuffing wrapped in dough. Momo are usually steamed, though they are sometimes fried or steamed fried. Meat or vegetables fillings becomes succulent as it produces an intensively flavored both sealed inside the wrappers. Momo is an important dish for Tibetans, later its developed in Nepal and Asia also. Momo is usually served  with chilli garlic sauce and pickled daikon in Tibet. In Nepal, popular dipping sauces include tomato based chutneys or sesame or peanut or soybean based sauces called Jhol achar. sauces can be thick or thin. Jhol momo has warm or hot tomato based broth poured over Momo, whereas Jhol achar is served in room/cooled temperature . One of the main ingredients of Jhol achar is Nepali hog plum, but if this is unavailable, lemon or lime juice may be used. 
Traditionally, Momo is prepared with ground/minced meat, potatoes and leek filling. Nowadays, the filling have become more elaborate and Momo is prepared with virtually any combination of ground meat, vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, paneer cheese, soft chhurpi and vegetable and meat combination.
Here I introduce you with CHICKEN MOMO  recipe. I hope you definitely enjoy it. 
Chicken Momo is made with the dough, rolled into small circular flat pieces, the ground chicken filling is enclosed in the circular dough cover either in a round pocket or a half moon or crescent shape.
Ingredient--
For Chicken filling:-
500 Gm - Minced or Boneless chicken cut into small pieces 
1 Tsp - Ginger Garlic paste 
2 Tbsp - Spring onion finely chopped 
Salt to taste
1 Tsp - Pepper powder 
2 Onion finally chopped 
Chopped coriander leaves
1 Tsp - Soya sauce 
1/2 Lemon Juice
1Tbsp - Oil
1 Tbsp - Refined flour /Maida
 For dough :-
1 Cup -  Refined flour/ Maida
Salt to taste
1 Tsp Oil
Method
To Make Chicken Stuffing-
Take a bowl . Mix Chicken piece and half lemon juice into it.
Keep it aside till the oil heats.
Take a pan and put it on a flame. Put 1 Tbsp oil in it and heat it .
Now add finally chopped onion and saute it. When onion turns to pink add 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic paste into the pan and saute it.
Now put the chicken pieces into the pan and put some salt in the chicken.
Stir continuously  until the moisture in chicken dries out completely.
Add 1Tsp Black pepper powder; 1 Tbsp Maida  and stir vigorously until the chicken dries out completely.
Put off the flame and keep it aside.
To Make Dough for Momo-
Take out small lemon sized portion of the dough. Make a ball and flatten the ball with your hand .  Now roll on the board with the rolling pin and make a puri sized piece. Put the chicken stuffing in the centre of the puri. Now apply maida and water mixture on the left edges and seal them to give a shape of half circle. Repeat the method to prepare rest of Momos and then steam them for 20 minutes or till they cook. Now Chicken Momos are ready to serve with your chutney.
