Marble cake is a cake given a streaked, marble-like appearance by the incomplete mixing of dark chocolate, and another lighter colour batter. Because the vanilla cake batter and chocolate cake batter are swirled together to make it look like marble. Hence marble cake....it to give it the marbling effect. It's essentially a marbled version of this award-winning Kentucky Butter cake. Surprisingly, you don't need two completely different batters to make marble cake. You simply take a third of the vanilla batter and mix it with melted chocolate and cocoa powder and that's your chocolate batter!

Below is the recipe for a lovely designer Marble Cake!😋🎂


INGREDIENTS-

  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup refined oil 
  • 2 cup milk
  • 3 cup refined flour
  • 2 & 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 100 gram chocolate bar, melted
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla essence

METHOD-

1. Grease a round-shaped cake tin with oil.
2. Line the cake tin with with a white paper or butter paper & brush oil on the paper. Cake tin is ready.
3. Take a bowl. Add powdered sugar, refined oil and milk together in a bowl. Mix well. 
4. Add vanilla essence to the mixture.
 
5. Sieve the refined flour and baking powder together and mix it to the milk batter gradually. 
6. Mix everything well and make a smooth batter.
7. Divide batter in two equal parts.
8. In one part, add cocoa powder and melted chocolate and mix well. Leave the other part as it is. 

9. Now, you have two batters. One is dark and one is light.
10. Now pour one tbsp. batter alternately in the center of the cake tin from both the batters.
11. Repeat the process until both the batters are finished.

12. Make design with a toothpick-
a) Draw a straight line from center to the wall of the cake tin.
b) Clean toothpick after drawing every line.
c) In this way you can make a beautiful design on the cake batter.

13. Preheat the oven at 180 degree centigrade & bake the cake for 25 minutes in oven.
14. Check the cake with a toothpick. If the toothpick is clean, cake is ready.
15. Allow it to cool for some time. Loosen the sides with a knife from cake tin.
16. Transfer the cake on a plate. Remove the butter paper from bottom of the cake. 
17. Cut the cake in small pieces and enjoy it with your family and friends!!
